Update of the Statement of the Management Board of SEC Norge AS of 28.09.2020

The Management Board of SEC Norge AS officially announces that the Company has received a statement of the representative of the certification entity indicated in the Management Boards Announcement of 28.09.2020, confirming that the information note posted on the website of this entity, describing the problem of certificate forgery, refers to a different incident and remains completely unrelated to certificates issued to employees of SEC Norge AS.

Hence, the Management Board declares that any attempt to bind SEC Norge AS with the problem of fraudulent certificates is unjustified, therefore, any further attempts to relate the Company with the matter described in the Announcement of 28.09.2020 shall force the Company to take appropriate measures, required to protect reputation of the Company.

Announcement of the Management Board of SEC Norge AS

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Due to unverified and misleading information appearing recently in the media about the staff of SEC Norge AS, the Management Board of the Company declares that the Company has received a notification from one of the Company's Clients regarding doubts related to 15 (fifteen) certificates issued by one of the certification bodies, with whom the Company cooperates.

As it was established by the Company, these doubts are related to human error in the process of issuing the certificates by third party, and has already been explained and corrected by an external entity conducting the certification process at the request of the Company. It needs to be emphasized that these doubts were raised before the above mentioned 15 employees of the Company in question were allowed to commence any work for our Client ? therefore it had no impact on the work of our team performed for that Client.

To the best knowledge of the Management Board, the escalation of media interest in this case resulted from the ungrounded connection of this incident with the content of the information note published on the website of the entity involved in the certification process, describing an unrelated case of forged welders' competence certificates. In the light of the assurances provided to us, the note contained on the website of the certifying entity (now removed by this entity) had no connection with the matter which is the subject of this Announcement ? and generally - with any activity of SEC Norge AS ? both past and present - it was a historical information and it concerned a completely different and unrelated matter.

We trust that the unjustified accusations connecting our Company with the content of the above mentioned information note will be denied by the certification entity in a clear and straightforward manner, which will allow for the final clarification of this matter. We would like to assure you that there is no information providing the basis for linking SEC Norge AS with the notification of certificate forgery, described in the - already removed ? information note that was published on the website of the certification body.

We also assure all interested Parties that SEC Norge AS attaches utmost importance to quality requirements, procedures and market standards ? which allowed us to built-up reputation and establish trust of our Clients.

Hence, SEC Norge AS will take all steps necessary to finally clarify any doubts related to this matter - we are in constant contact with our Client and the certification entity and we trust that all adverse publicity and information presenting our Company in a negative light will soon be denied by the entities currently circulating them.

President of the Board
Piotr Piłat
